나노미터 크기를 가지는 구조 및 소자에서의 물리학을 다룬다. 기본적인 고체 물리에 대해 개요 수준에서 소개한 뒤, 나노구조 소재, 나노 전자공학, 나노 자성학 등을 세부적으로 가르친다. 현재 기술 수준 혹은 차세대 기술 수준에서의 나노물리학의 상호 연관성에 중점을 둔다
